Removal and installation of the Weber 2V carburetor

1. Remove ground wire from battery.

2. Remove the air filter housing.



3. Disconnect the shutter and stepper motor wires. To disconnect the stepper motor connector, it is necessary to depress the locking clip (indicated by an arrow).

4. Disconnect the throttle bracket from the throttle actuator lever.

5. Remove the fuel supply hose to the carburetor. If there are clamps on the hoses, bite them off and replace them with clamps that are clamped with a screw.

6. Disconnect the vacuum tubes from the carburetor.

7. Unscrew the four nuts securing the carburetor to the intake manifold.

8. Remove the carburetor and cover the hole in the intake manifold with a clean rag.

9. The carburetor is installed in the reverse order of removal. After installation, adjust the CO content.

10. Remove the carburetor from the engine.

11. Thoroughly clean the outside of the carburetor.

12. Unscrew the four screws and remove the stepper motor.

13. Unscrew the 6 screws securing the top cover of the carburetor, remove the cover and gasket.

14. Unscrew the large brass nut located behind the fuel pipe and remove the fuel filter.


15. Remove float shaft. Remove float and needle valve.

16. Unscrew the three screws and remove the bimetallic spring housing, having previously noted the position of the housing relative to the carburetor.

17. Unscrew the three screws and remove the throttle body, noting the position of the body relative to the carburetor.

18. Unscrew the jets from the carburetor body.

19. Unscrew the primary and secondary emulsion tubes, noting their position.

20. Unscrew the four screws and remove the accelerator pump cover. Remove diaphragm and spring.

21. Unscrew the screws securing the vacuum assembly of the secondary throttle valve. Disconnect the backstage rod and remove the assembly.

22. Remove the power valve cover, spring and diaphragm.

23. Clean the float chamber. Blow out all jets with compressed air and clean their seats.
