Replacement
1. Remove the ground wire from the battery and the air filter housing.
2. Disconnect the diaphragm control rod from the throttle linkage by moving the bottom of the rod down and unscrewing its end from the socket.
3. Unscrew the four screws securing the cover, remove the cover and remove the spring.
4. Carefully remove the diaphragm and control rod from the housing.
5. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the diaphragm housing and cover and insert the diaphragm into the housing, aligning the holes in the diaphragm with the vacuum cavity in the housing.
6. Install the spring and cover, align the holes and secure the cover with screws.
7. Connect the control rod to the throttle linkage.
8. Install the air filter.
9. Connect the battery ground wire.
