Removal
1. This actuator is mounted in the front right corner of the engine compartment. First, disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. For better access, remove the coolant reservoir and place it above the engine without disconnecting the hoses.
3. Disconnect the drive electrical connectors (see Fig. 24.3,a,b).


4. Unscrew the bolts and remove the drive (see Fig. 24.4, a, b).


5. Remove the engine cover (see Fig. 24.5).

6. Rotate the upper control segment of the throttle valve to create a slight slack in the accelerator cable between the segment and the throttle body (see Fig. 24.6).

7. Pull the cable end out of the segment. Then pull the cable out of the support on the engine body (see Fig. 24.7).

8. Rotate the lower control segment of the throttle valve to create a small slack in the accelerator cable between the segment and the gas pedal. Pull the cable end out of the segment. Then pull the cable out of the support on the engine housing (see Fig. 24.8,a,b).


Installation
9. Installation - in the reverse order of removal. Adjust the accelerator cable (chapter 4A).
