Intake manifold duct control (IMRC) actuator

Withdrawal

1. Disconnect the air filter outlet pipe.



2. Disconnect the electrical connector of the mass air flow sensor (MAF).



3. Disconnect the breather line.



4. Remove the air filter.



5. Disconnect the IMRC drive cable from the IMRC lever (for clarity, the intake manifold is shown removed).

• 1. Turn the IMRC lever counterclockwise.
• 2. Disconnect the IMRC drive cable.

6. Remove the IMRC drive cable from the intake manifold (for clarity, the intake manifold is shown removed).

• Release the locking elements of the IMRC drive cable.

7. Disconnect the plug connector of the IMRC actuator (for clarity, the intake manifold is shown removed).



8. Remove the IMRC actuator (for clarity, the intake manifold is shown removed).

Installation

NOTE: Make sure the three dowel pins on the air filter housing are inserted into the rubber grommets on the support bracket. Make sure the air filter housing is installed on the air filter inlet pipe.

1. Replace the elements in reverse order.
