Removal


Remove the negative terminal from the battery.

Remove the air filter housing. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the carburetor.

Disconnect the choke cable from the carburetor. Disconnect the fuel supply and return hoses, noting their location to facilitate subsequent installation. If clamps were used previously, cut them and replace them with clamps on screws.

Close the ends of the hoses with plugs. Disconnect the wires from the anti-knock valve. Unscrew the 4 screws and remove the carburetor from the intake manifold. Remove the carburetor gasket.

Installation


Clean the mating surfaces of the intake manifold and carburetor. Install the carburetor in the reverse order of removal. Install a new carburetor gasket and tighten the mounting screws to the specified torque. Ensure that all hoses, pipes and wires are routed correctly so that they are not stretched.

Connect the accelerator cable and adjust its tension. Connect the choke cable and adjust it. Install the air filter. Connect the negative terminal to the battery and start the engine. Check the idle speed and mixture quality.
