Description
The Weber TLD carburetor is similar to the TLDM carburetor found on the 1.3 dm3 HCS engine. But it has the following differences. The throttle valve of the secondary chamber is controlled by vacuum. The choke control is fully automatic and is performed by a bimetallic spring, which, depending on the engine temperature, controls the position of the choke.
An additional vacuum mechanism controls the position of the air damper in some engine modes. Carburettors fitted to vehicles with CTX automatic transmission have a throttle position sensor and throttle control at idle speed. A similar system is used on vehicles equipped with air conditioning.
