The Weber TLD carburetor is similar to the TLDM carburetor installed on the HCS engine with a working volume of 1.3 dm³. But it has the following differences. The throttle valve of the secondary chamber is controlled by vacuum. The air damper is controlled completely automatically and is carried out by a bimetallic spring, which, depending on the engine temperature, controls the position of the air damper.

An additional vacuum mechanism controls the position of the air damper in some engine modes. Carburetors installed on cars with an automatic transmission STX have a throttle position sensor and throttle control at idle speed. A similar system is used on cars equipped with air conditioning.
