Disassembly


Remove the carburetor from the engine and place it on a clean, flat surface.

Clean the outer surface of the carburetor. Unscrew 2 screws and remove the carburetor cover. Remove the float and needle valve from the carburetor cover. Unscrew and remove the anti-knock valve from the carburetor cover. Check that the sealing washer has come off with the valve. Unscrew the 3 screws securing the damper mechanism and remove the mechanism. Unscrew the air jets from the top of the carburetor. Pay attention to the size and location of each jet for proper re-installation. Turn the carburetor over so that the emulsion tubes fall out of the emulsion wells. Note the size of the emulsion tubes and their location so that they can be reinstalled correctly.

Unscrew the main fuel jets, noting their location. Using a lever or a thin screwdriver, remove the accelerator pump nozzles. Unscrew the 4 screws and remove the accelerator pump cover, diaphragm and return spring.

Unscrew the 3 screws and remove the economizer valve. Remove the cover, return spring and diaphragm. Unscrew the screws and remove the throttle damper.

Remove the plugs and unscrew the mixture adjustment screws. Unscrew the screws and remove the throttle body from the carburetor.

Cleaning


Clean the float chamber. Blow out all jets and clean their seats. Replace gaskets and diaphragms and, if necessary, other components.

Assembly


Install the throttle body to the carburetor with a new gasket and secure with screws.


Screw in the mixture adjustment screw. Make the initial adjustment by fully screwing in the screw, then backing it out 2 full turns. Install the throttle damper. Install the economizer valve. In this case, the diaphragm washer and the vacuum channel must be aligned with the diaphragm and casing. Install the accelerator pump. When doing this, be careful not to damage the valve. Check up correctness of installation of lining of round section Establish sprays of the accelerating pump. Install the emulsion tubes and air jets in their places in accordance with the previously made markings. Screw in the anti-knock valve. Install needle valve and float. Adjust the float level.

Install the choke control mechanism and secure with three screws.

Install a new gasket to the mating surfaces of the carburetor cover and carburetor. Install the carburetor cover to the carburetor and secure with screws. Install the carburetor to the engine.
