Weber TLD carburetor auto choke adjustment

            0

Remove the negative terminal from the battery. Remove the air filter housing.

Disconnect the coolant supply hoses to the automatic choke. Pay attention to the mutual position of the alignment marks of the bimetallic coil casing, unscrew the 3 fastening screws and remove the bimetallic coil casing from the automatic air damper (see fig. 4A.32).

Remove the shield ring. Set the throttle lever to the full open position. Move the trigger lever up until the air dampers are completely closed and release the throttle actuator lever. Fix the leash lever in the upper position with a rubber band (see fig. 4A.33).

Use a screwdriver to push the diaphragm rod in until it stops. Measure with a calibrated rod (can shank drill) air damper gap. If the gap does not match the required value, remove the protective cap from the adjusting screw and, turning the adjusting screw with a screwdriver, set the required gap (see fig. 4A.34).

Install a new protective cap of the membrane cover and remove the rubber. Install the shield ring. Install the bimetal spring housing, making sure that the spring and damper lever are properly engaged. Tighten the cover screws by hand. Rotate the cover to align the alignment marks, then finally tighten the fixing screws (see fig. 4A.35).

Connect coolant hoses. Install the air filter.
