Adjusting the opening of the starting choke of the Weber carburetor

1. Unscrew the three screws securing the trigger housing and the bimetallic spring.
2. Remove the heat shield.
3. Check and, if necessary, adjust the starting valve clearance.
4. Hold the starting throttle valve in the closed position using a rod or rubber cord.
5. Press the accelerator pedal all the way down to fully open the throttle valve and close the starting valve, then release the pedal.
6. Move the vacuum regulator diaphragm by hand until it stops and measure (for example, with a 1.5 mm diameter drill) the width of the gap between the starting valve and the wall of the air chamber.
Attention! The regulator diaphragm and its rod are repelled by the return spring. Therefore, they must be moved to the stop to obtain the maximum gap width.
7. If the gap is incorrect, turn the adjusting screw in the regulator body until the required gap is obtained.
