The position of the starting flap controls when adjusting the automatic starter of the Weber carburetor

1. Partially open the mixture throttle and turn the fast idle cam until the adjusting screw touches the top of the cam.

2. Release the accelerator pedal and lock the cam in this position.

3. Close the throttle until the cam stop rests against the fast idle adjusting screw.

4. While holding the throttle in the closed position, measure the gap between the edge of the throttle valve and the wall of the air chamber. To measure, use a rod or drill of the appropriate diameter.

5. In the event of an inappropriate gap, adjust it by pressing the plate (IN).

Adjustment of the raised number of turns of idling of the engine



1. Connect a tachometer to the engine.

2. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and release the accelerator pedal.

3. With the engine running, hold the starting flap in a vertical position (full opening) and turn the starter lever until it is delayed by the fast idle mechanism.

4. Measure the engine speed and, if necessary, adjust it by turning the fast idle speed adjusting screw.
