Checking the engine crankshaft speed sensor with a universal measuring device (Fiesta 4)

To check the crankshaft speed sensor for proper operation, measure its resistance with a multi-purpose measuring device. To ensure that the distance between the sensor and the flywheel corresponds to the required value, check the sensor mount before measuring.



SEQUENCE OF WORKS

1. To check the sensor, disconnect the electrical connector from it.

2. Measure the resistance between both connector pins.

3. The measuring device should show a resistance of (200±50) Ohm.
