Checking with a universal device – speed sensor

Using resistance measurement (universal device, see also chapter Electrical equipment) the function of the speed sensor is checked. To ensure that the distance of the sensor from the flywheel is consistent, check that the sensor is firmly screwed on before taking measurements.

PROCEDURE

To check, disconnect the plug from the sensor. Measure the resistance at both contact ends. A multimeter should show a value of approximately 200±50 watts.
