Measuring resistance on the ignition coil (Mondeo 3)

The measurement assumes that the engine management system is functioning properly. Using a universal device, the primary resistance in the control mode (resistance W) can also be checked in high-voltage ignition systems.

ORDER OF EXECUTION

Turn off the ignition.
Disconnect the ignition wire from the ignition module.

Checking the primary resistance:
Disconnect the multi-pin plug.
Connect the ohmmeter in series to terminals 1 and 2, and 3 and 2. The required value is 0.4 – 0.6 W.
