Withdrawal


Remove the negative terminal from the battery. Remove the air filter. Using a lever, remove the cable from the choke on the carburetor. Detach the cable sheath from the suspension. Detach the choke control button from the cable by depressing the attachment pin on the back of the button.

Remove the choke control retainer. Remove the choke mechanism/control screw and disconnect the throttle position indicator switch connector. Pull the cable inside the panel (see fig. 4A.10).



Installation


Insert the cable through the baffle and pass it through the instrument panel. Install the mounting sleeve and connect the electrical connector. Install the sleeve on the instrument panel and secure it with a screw. Install the choke control knob on the cable and check the reliability of its fastening.

Connect the choke control cable to the carburetor.

Pull out the choke button all the way. On the carburetor, set the choke lever to the full choke position and attach the cable sheath to the suspension.

Adjustment


To check that the choke control cable is properly adjusted, fully depress the control knob and check that the choke lever is at the stop. Make adjustments if necessary.




Press the choke control button all the way down. Check that the choke on the carburetor is set to the vertical position.

Install the air filter.

Connect the negative terminal to the battery. Turn the ignition on and test the operation of the choke position indicator lamp by moving the choke control knob in and out.
