The transmission fluid cooler is installed in front of the engine cooling radiator.
Vehicles with air conditioning
Remove the air conditioning condenser before removing the transmission fluid cooler.
Control lamp of the power unit
Location
The control lamp of the power unit is located on the instrument panel. This is an orange lamp.
Purpose
It warns the driver that the transmission control has switched to an emergency operating program or that the transmission fluid temperature is too high.
Transmission fluid temperature sensor (TFT)
Transmission fluid temperature sensor (TFT) located on the internal wiring harness in the oil sump. This is an NTXC resistor (with negative temperature coefficient). The sensor measures the temperature of the transmission fluid.
If the transmission fluid temperature is very high (>135°С), the transmission warning lamp comes on, and a fault code is stored in the memory indicating that the transmission is not functioning properly.
In low temperature conditions with transmission fluid temperature in the range of 0°C - 40°C, there is no lock function.
