Gear selection lever — removal and installation

Withdrawal

1. Remove the floor console. See Section 501-12 for more information.

2. Remove the gear selector cable from the gear selector.

• 1. Move the gear selector to position "R".
• 2. Release the gear selector cable.

3. Release the outer bushing of the gear selector cable.



3. Disunite an electric socket of the lever of a choice of transfers in gathering.



4. Remove the selector lever assembly. Remove four nuts.

Installation

NOTE: Use thread locking compound on nuts.

Install the gear selector assembly. Install four nuts.



2. Connect the gear selector assembly electrical connector.

NOTE: The selector lever has its own locking mechanism. It is not necessary to hold the gear select lever.

Connect cable to gear selector.

• 1. Move the gear selector to position "R".
• 2. Lock the outer bushing of the selector lever cable.
• 3. Fix a cable of the lever of a choice of transfers.

4. Install the floor console. See Section 501-12 for more information.

5. Adjust the system. For more information, refer to the Gear Select Lever Adjustment chapter in this section.
