Disassembly
1. Remove the axle shaft seals (left side shown).
2. Using the special tool, remove the differential bearing outer races (left side shown).
3. Using the special tool, remove the outer ring of the main gear pinion bearing.
4. Using the special tool, remove the outer races of the transmission shaft gear bearings (left side shown).

NOTE: Mark the location of the outlet hole in the funnel relative to the bottom of the crankcase.
NOTE: Inspect the outlet for foreign material.
Remove the funnel.
6. Turn the gearbox in the block with the drive axle by 180 degrees.
7. Using the special tool, remove the outer race of the main gear pinion bearing.
Assembly
1.
NOTE: The torque converter housing bearing outer races for the transfer shaft bearing and differential case bearing will be installed when the transaxle is assembled.
Using the special tool, install the outer ring of the main gear pinion bearing.
2. Turn the gearbox in the block with the drive axle by 180 degrees.

NOTE: Mark the position of the outlet.
NOTE: Inspect the outlet for foreign material.
Install the funnel.
4. Using the special tool, install the outer races of the transmission shaft gear bearings (left side shown).
5. Using the special tool, install the outer race of the final drive pinion bearing (left side shown).
6. Using the special tool, install the outer races of the differential case bearings (left side shown).
7. Using the special tool, install the axle shaft seals (left side shown).
