Inspection and verification

1. Check the validity of the customer's complaint by testing the transaxle in operation.

2. Visually inspect for obvious signs of mechanical damage.

Visual Inspection Table

Mechanical factors:

• Supply and return pipelines
• Connections for automatic transaxle and transmission fluid cooler
• transmission fluid level

3. If there is an obvious cause for a noted or received complaint, address it before proceeding to the next step (if possible).

4. If the cause of the problem is not visually obvious, check the symptom and refer to the Symptom Chart.

CAUTION: Do not overtighten refrigerant line connections. This may damage the connecting elements.

CAUTION: Do not repair leaks by tightening more than specified.
