Kick-down cable adjustment elements on vehicles with electromagnetic valve
A – electromagnetic valve, B – housing, C – holder, D – mounting bolt, E – ball pin of cable connection
1. Set the gear selector lever to any position, turn on the ignition (without starting the engine), press the accelerator pedal all the way down and lock it in this position.

2. Turn the downshift lever 5 counterclockwise until it stops and install template 17.031 on the cable to prevent over-tensioning of the cable.
3. Loosen the 4 bolts securing the solenoid valve bracket and move the solenoid valve forward until the shift cable is slightly taut, then tighten the bolts.
4. If the adjustment is made correctly, the electromagnetic valve, when voltage is applied to it, should pull the cable and, turning the shift lever 5 clockwise until it stops, hold it in this position.
5. If the shift cable is over-tensioned, the solenoid valve is not set to the required position, which causes the shift lever to return to its original position.
6. If the shift cable tension is insufficient, the shift lever is set to the required position, but the electromagnetic valve overheats, which causes the lever to return to its original position.
7. In both cases, re-adjustment is necessary.
