Removal and installation of the mechanism of a choice of transfers

1. Remove the negative cable from the battery.

2. In the passenger compartment, remove the gear selector lever, ashtray, unscrew the two screws securing the center console trim, disconnect the connectors and remove the trim.

3. Remove the heater switch at the rear of the center console and unscrew the two screws securing the console trim.

4. Remove the console trim and disconnect the connector from the cigarette lighter.

5. Unscrew the two console mounting screws located under the cassette compartment and the two screws in the center and front of the console, remove the center console and its bracket.

6. Unscrew the four bolts securing the gear selector mechanism.

7. Raise the gear selection mechanism, remove the spring clip from the gear selection rod and completely remove the gear selection mechanism.

8. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal, while it is necessary to install the front part of the console trim under the center console, and tighten the console bracket mounting bolts only after installing the console.
