Removal and installation of the vacuum regulator

1. Place the car above the inspection channel or on a lift and disconnect the ground wire from the battery.

2. Unscrew the two bolts and remove the propshaft intermediate support.

3. Detach the crossmember from the transmission and carefully lower the transmission.

4. Remove the vacuum hose from the vacuum regulator.



5. Unscrew the mounting bolt (indicated by an arrow) vacuum regulator bracket and remove the bracket.

6. Remove the vacuum regulator together with the stem.

7. Lubricate the new O-ring with fresh gear oil and install it on the vacuum regulator fitting.

8. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Be sure to check the oil level in the gearbox and top up if necessary.
