Removing and installing the vacuum booster (Escort 3)

Disconnect the wires from the battery terminals and remove the retaining ring from the pushrod that connects it to the pedal. Disconnect the pipes from the master cylinder and plug them. Remove the master cylinder. Remove the vacuum booster check valve and booster.

Install the vacuum booster in the reverse order of removal, paying attention to the correct connection of the pusher to the brake pedal. Install the retaining ring, connect the pipes and remove air from the hydraulic drive.
