Removing and installing the brake drum
Removal and installation of the brake drum is carried out according to the instructions in the section "Rear suspension".
Removing and installing a wheel cylinder
Remove the brake drum and brake shoes. Disconnect the hose from the wheel cylinder. Unscrew the two cylinder mounting bolts on the back of the brake shield and remove the wheel cylinder.
Disassembly and assembly of the wheel cylinder
Remove two protective caps 4 (Fig. 6.11) with pistons 5 from cylinder 3 and separate the protective caps from the pistons.

Remove the cuffs 6 and extract the spring 7. Unscrew the bleed nipple 2. Check the technical condition of the wheel cylinder and wipe it with a clean, lint-free cloth soaked in brake fluid, alcohol or methyl. Put protective caps on the pistons. Install the piston with the protective cap in the cylinder, insert a new cuff, spring, and second new cuff from the opposite side of the cylinder (the concave side of the cuffs faces the spring). Install the second piston with the protective cap, screw in the bleed nipple.
