Replacing the brake pads of the front wheel

Raise the front of the car on stands and remove the wheel from the desired side. If the vehicle is fitted with a brake pad wear sensor, disconnect its connector 2 (pic. 6.4). Remove retaining plate 1 and use a 7 mm Allen key to unscrew bolts 4 (rice. 6.1) guide fingers. Remove the caliper and hang it under the wing on a wire.

Remove the inner, then the outer pads. Before installation, carefully move the piston as far as possible into the cylinder, preventing the brake fluid from splashing out of the master cylinder reservoir. Install the inner pad, insert the pad retainer spring into the caliper (pic. 6.5) and, pressing the inner block, install it in place.



Insert the wire of the lining wear sensor into the cutout of the caliper and connect its connector. Install the outer pad Install the caliper and tighten the bolts of its fastening. Install the retaining plate and depress the brake pedal several times to set the pistons to the working position.
