Oil heat exchanger

1 - threaded bushing, 2 - gasket, 3 - heat exchanger, 4 - adapter, 5 - oil filter

The oil heat exchanger is installed between the oil filter and the cylinder block.

1. Before removing the heat exchanger, you must first remove the oil filter. Disconnect the heat exchanger hoses and plug them with plugs.

2. Unscrew the adapter with pliers. Remove the heat exchanger and its gasket. If the bushing is removed or comes out with the adapter, the bushing must be replaced.

3. Assembly begins with the installation of a new sleeve in the cylinder block. Apply sealant to the threads of the bushing and the inside of the adapter.

4. Apply a drop of sealant to the initial thread of the bushing, as otherwise, excess sealant may enter the lubrication system.

5. Install a new gasket and heat exchanger, secure it with an adapter. Make sure the heat exchanger tubes are installed at the correct angle and tighten the adapter to the correct torque (A - the rear side of the engine block).

6. Install a new oil filter.
