2. Install the distributor and adjust the ignition timing.
3. Clean the surface of the cylinder block that contacts the oil filter, lubricate the oil filter seal with oil. Screw in the new filter element until the rubber seal contacts the block, then tighten another 3/4 turn.
4. Screw in the oil pressure sensor and tighten it to the specified torque. Install the engine support brackets.
Fuel injection engine
5. Install the parts in their original places, making sure that their original adjustment does not change.
Carburetor engines
6. Insert the fuel pump rod into the cylinder block, install the insulating gasket, fuel pump and mounting bolts.
7. Install the carburetor.
8. Connect the engine breather tube to the valve cover and the fuel line between the fuel pump and the carburetor.
9. Install the automatic air damper to the water drain connection hose and the bypass hose to the thermostat housing.
All engines
10. Install the alternator and adjust the drive belt tension.
11. Install the power steering pump idler pulley bracket to the front of the engine with two bolts.
12. Install the power steering pump and adjust the drive belt tension.
13. Install the exhaust manifolds.
