Checking the coolant level

            0

The coolant level should be checked approximately every 4 weeks and always before any long trip.

To replenish the coolant level, even in the warm season, use only a mixture of antifreeze and soft, clean water.

Attention: In order to be able to continue the journey, it is also possible, especially in summer, to top up with clean water. However, after this, it is necessary to bring the concentration of antifreeze in the coolant to the required level as soon as possible.

Coolant level when engine is cold (liquid temperature approx. +20°C) must be between the MAX and MIN·marks on the expansion tank.

Before the coolant level drops to the MIN·mark when the engine is cold, the level must be topped up.

To avoid engine damage, fill in cold coolant only when the engine is cold.

Caution: Only open the expansion tank cap, never open the radiator cap when the engine is hot. Before opening the radiator cap, put a rag on it.

If the coolant level drops in a short time, visually check the cooling system for leaks.
