Checking the engine oil level

            0

When refueling, the engine oil level must be checked and replenished if necessary. For 1000 km, the engine should consume no more than 1 liter of oil. Higher oil consumption indicates worn valve stem seals and/or piston rings or seals.

The vehicle must be on level ground during the measurement.

The engine must be warmed up to operating temperature.

After stopping the engine, wait at least 3 minutes for the oil to collect in the sump.

Remove the oil level indicator from the engine and wipe it with a clean cloth.

Then insert the oil level indicator until it stops and pull it out again. The oil level should be in the area between the two marks MIN and MAX. The difference between the oil volumes in the engine sump between the MIN and MAX marks on the oil level indicator is approximately 0.5 to 1.0 liters.

Add new oil to the engine only when the oil level approaches the lower mark.

The oil level is replenished through the filler neck on the cylinder head cover. When replenishing the level, use the correct brand of oil, do not use any additives to the oil.

Attention: Never fill engine oil above the upper mark MAX. Too much engine oil during operation can damage the catalytic converter or engine seals.
