Engine and exhaust system (Scorpio 2)

In accordance with the maintenance chart, the following work must be carried out:

Engine: Checking the oil level. Changing the oil and oil filter.

Engine: visual inspection of the lubrication system for leaks.

Valve clearance adjustment (not required for DOHC engines and all engines built since 9/94).

Engine OHC: tighten the intake manifold mount to the prescribed torque value.

V6 engine up to 8/94: tighten the mount at the head on the intake side to the specified torque value.

Cooling and heating systems: checking the fluid level. Checking the concentration of antifreeze. Visually checking the tightness and external contamination of the radiator.

Cooling and heating systems: replacement of coolant (not required if the cooling system was last filled with a mixture of FORD-Super Plus 4 antifreeze and water).

Gasoline engine: checking and, if necessary, replacing spark plugs

Diesel engine: removing water from the fuel filter.

Fuel filter: replacement.

V-belt/poly V-belt: checking tension and condition.

Air filter: Replace the replaceable filter element.

Engine OHC: replace crankcase ventilation system valve.

Exhaust system: check for damage.

Air conditioning system: check filling.
