Tightening the intake manifold mounting bolts (Scorpio 2)

A special tool is required to perform the work: V6 Engine: FORD Special Tool 21-079. If this tool is not available, the ignition distributor must be removed.

The following parts need to be purchased for replacement: V6 Engine: Air Chamber Gasket.

Tightening the intake manifold mount

Remove the air chamber, see p. 19.



Tighten the intake manifold mounting bolts in the specified sequence to a torque of 25 Nm. To tighten bolt No.4, you need a special FORD tool 214379. If this tool is not available, you need to remove the ignition distributor, see p. 48.

If removed, install the ignition distributor.

Install the air chamber, see p. 19.
