Tightening the intake manifold bolts

Special tool required for work: V6 engine: FORD special tool 21-079. If this tool is missing, the ignition distributor must be removed.

Replacement parts must be purchased as follows: V6 engine: air chamber seal.

Tightening the intake manifold

Remove the air chamber see p. 19.



Tighten the intake manifold mounting bolts in sequence to 25 Nm. For tightening the #4 bolt, special tool FORD 214379 is required. If this tool is not available, the ignition distributor must be removed, see p. 48.

If removed, install the ignition distributor.

Install the airbox see p. 19.
