Checking the poly V-belt
No special tool required.
Necessary parts for replacement: Poly V-belt or for the ONS engine, respectively, V-belt. The length of the belt depends on the type of engine, when buying a belt for replacement, this must be taken into account.
Too little tension on the V-belt leads to increased wear or failure. Too much tension can cause the bearing of the corresponding auxiliary unit to fail.
The poly V-belt must be replaced if at least one of the following defects is detected: excessive wear, fraying of the side surfaces, traces of oil, porosity, transverse cracks.

Replacing the timing belt
Only OHC engines have a toothed belt. If the work is performed incorrectly, the engine may be seriously damaged. Therefore, it is necessary to strictly follow the instructions for performing work operations. Replacing the toothed belt is described in the section "Engine".
