Visual inspection of the exhaust system

No special tool is required and no replacement parts are needed.

Raise the car on the goats.

Check the tightness of the clamps.

Inspect the exhaust system with a pump for holes, rusted parts, and scuffs.

Replace noisy exhaust pipes.

Check the rubber holders for porosity by twisting and stretching and replace if necessary.

Lower the car.

Vehicles with a catalytic converter: check the electrical connector and the tightness of the oxygen sensor.
