Examination
Transfer case
The oil level in the transfer case must be checked only in vehicles with all-wheel drive.
Place the car in a horizontal position on trestles.
Check the transfer case for leaks.
Unscrew the filler plug "arrow" on the transfer case.
Use your finger to check the oil level in the transfer case. The oil level should be at the level of the lower edge of the filler hole. If necessary, top up the transmission oil level through the filler hole.
Screw in the filler plug and tighten to a torque of 60 Nm.
Lower the car.
Note: It is not necessary to change the oil in the transfer case.
Front axle main gear
The oil level in the front axle final drive must be checked only in vehicles with all-wheel drive.
Place the car in a horizontal position on trestles.
Check the front axle final drive for leaks.
Unscrew the filler plug "arrow".
Use your finger to check the oil level in the front axle main gear. The oil level should be at the level of the lower edge of the filler hole. If necessary, top up the transmission oil level through the filler hole.
Screw in the filler plug and tighten to 45 Nm.
Lower the car.
Note: It is not necessary to change the oil in the front axle final drive.
Rear axle main gear
Place the car in a horizontal position on trestles.
Check the rear axle final drive for leaks.
Unscrew the filler plug.
Use your finger to check the oil level in the rear axle main gear. The oil level should be at the level of the filler hole, not lower than 5 mm from its edge. If necessary, top up the transmission oil level through the filler hole.
Screw in the filler plug and tighten to 45 Nm.
Lower the car.
Note: It is not necessary to change the oil in the rear axle final drive.
