Clamp the steering gear in a vice, the drive pinion cover should be facing upwards. Tighten the cover mounting bolts to a torque of 0.6–0.9 kgf·m. Measure the pinion rotation torque using dynamometer 15.041 (Fig. 5.9).
At a rotation speed of 4 rpm, the torque should be within 6-13 kgf·m. Otherwise, check the correct installation and the presence of all steering gear parts.
