Checking the V-belt
No special tool is required.
Necessary spare parts: V-belt. Its length depends on the engine type. Keep this in mind when purchasing the belt. Too little tension on the V-belt leads to increased wear or failure of the belt. If the belt is too tight, damage to the bearings on the relevant units may occur.
The V-belt needs to be replaced in the event of: excessive wear, fraying at the edges, traces of oil, porosity, and fractures in the cross-section.
Check the V-belt tension, replace and tighten, see paragraph 1.19.
Attention! With a new V-belt, after 10 minutes of rotation, check the tension again.
Replacing the timing belt
If this operation is not carried out correctly, it may cause significant damage to the engine. Therefore, strictly follow the instructions given in the chapter "Engine".
