Checking the engine oil level (Mondeo 2)

            0

Check the engine oil level approximately every 600 km. To do this, remove the dipstick and wipe it with a clean rag. Insert it again and remove it again. With the car parked on a horizontal surface, the oil should be between the upper "Max" and lower "Min" marks on the dipstick. If the oil level is at the lower mark, you need to add oil.

The volume of oil between the two marks is approximately 1.0 l, so it is easy to determine how much oil is missing. Never overfill the engine, i.e. the oil level should not rise above the upper mark (this, for example, can cause damage to the built-in catalytic converter).
