Note: The manufacturer recommends using Ford/Motorcraft Formula E SAE 5W-30 oil. It is also permissible to use oils of quality level ACEA A1/B1 or ACEA A3/B3 of viscosity class SAE 5W-30, SAE 5W-40 or 10W-40 (depending on climatic conditions).
Caution: Before checking the oil level after a trip, turn off the engine and wait 5-10 minutes for the oil to drain into the crankcase.
Attention! Top up with oil of the same brand, viscosity and quality class as the one used previously.
Attention! The oil level in the engine crankcase must not exceed the "MAX" mark, otherwise leaks through gaskets and seals and increased oil consumption are possible.
Attention! Check the level by placing the car on a flat horizontal surface.
The oil filler plug is located on the cylinder head cover. The oil level indicator (dipstick) is located on the left side of the cylinder block next to the intake manifold.
1. Remove the oil level indicator (dipstick)…
2. …wipe it with a clean cloth and put it back in place.
3. Remove the dipstick again. The oil film level should be between the "MIN" and "MAX" marks. If the oil level is close to or below the "MIN" mark, add oil.
4. To add oil, turn the oil filler cap counterclockwise…
5. …and take it off.
6. Fill the engine with oil, monitoring its level with the dipstick. Wait 2-3 minutes before removing the dipstick to allow the oil to drain into the crankcase.
7. Once the oil level reaches the required level, tighten the filler cap.
