WARNING: To minimize the risk of injury if an air bag deploys prematurely, always carry an active air bag module with the air bag and bezel facing away from your torso. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
WARNING: To minimize the possibility of premature airbag deployment, active airbag modules should only be installed on grounded workbenches. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
NOTE: All non-serviceable airbag modules are included in the Must-Return Items List. All discolored and damaged airbag modules should be handled in the same way as any non-maintenance active airbag modules to be returned.
Remove the unserviceable airbag module. For more information, refer to the appropriate procedure described in this section.
NOTE: A prepaid postcard is included with the new airbag module for a return reply. Airbag module confirmation card requires airbag module serial number and vehicle identification number (VIN).
2. Before installing the airbag module, write down the required information. Send Airbag Module Confirmation Postcard to Ford Motor Company (driver airbag module confirmation card shown).

WARNING: Under no circumstances should an unserviceable module be returned (to her) airbags through your local postal service. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
Seal the unserviceable module (And) airbags in the package from the new module (to her) airbags and return them to the Parts Exchange Center (Exchange Plan Center) , specified by the local sales company (National Sales Company).
