WARNING: To minimize the possibility of premature air bag deployment, operating air bag modules should only be installed on grounded workbenches. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
NOTE: All non-serviceable airbag modules are included in the Mandatory Return List. All discolored or damaged airbag modules should be treated in the same manner as any non-serviceable, functional airbag module that is subject to return.
Remove the non-serviceable airbag module. For more information, refer to the appropriate procedure in this section.
NOTE: A postage-paid reply card is included with your new air bag module. The air bag module confirmation card requires the air bag module serial number and the vehicle identification number (VIN).
2. Before installing the air bag module, record the required information. Send the air bag module confirmation postcard to Ford Motor Company (driver air bag module confirmation postcard shown).

WARNING: Under no circumstances should non-serviceable airbag module(s) be returned via local postal service. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
Seal the non-serviceable air bag module(s) in the packaging of the new air bag module(s) and return them to the Exchange Plan Center designated by your local National Sales Company.
