WARNING: After an air bag deploys, traces of sodium hydroxide, a combustion product that is irritating to the skin, may remain on the air bag surface. Wear protective gloves when handling any deployed air bag module. Failure to do so may result in injury.
1. Remove the deployed airbag module(s). For more information, refer to the appropriate procedure in this section.
2. Seal the deployed air bag module(s) in the packaging of the new air bag module(s) or in a suitable plastic bag and dispose of in accordance with local hazardous waste regulations.
