Removal
WARNING: To prevent the risk of accidental deployment, the air bag control module backup power source must be discharged. After disconnecting the battery ground cable(s), wait at least one minute before attempting any repairs or adjustments to the supplemental restraint system (SRS) or any component(s) located near the SRS sensors. Failure to follow these instructions could result in injury.
WARNING: To minimize the risk of premature air bag deployment, do not use radio key code storage devices when working with the supplemental restraint system. Failure to follow this instruction may result in injury.
WARNING: Never touch the tester probes to the electrical connectors of the air bag modules or any other component of the supplemental restraint system. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
1. Disconnect the ground cable from the battery. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01.
2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Section 100-02 for additional information.
3. Remove the bolts securing the right radiator support bracket and lower the right side of the radiator.

4. Lower the vehicle.
5. Remove the radiator air deflector.

6. Disconnect the impact sensor from the grille opening panel.

7. Remove the shock sensor.
- Disconnect the impact sensor plug connector.

Installation
WARNING: Make sure the shock sensor mounting parts are correctly positioned in the grille opening panel. Failure to follow these instructions may result in injury.
WARNING: Never touch the tester probes to the electrical connectors of the air bag modules or any other component of the supplemental restraint system. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.
1. To install, perform the removal procedure in reverse order.
