Checking shock absorbers

1. Place the car on a level ground, turn off the engine, apply the handbrake. Check tire pressure.

2. Press down on one corner of the car, then release and notice the movement of the body. It should stop and return to its original position after one or two swings.

3. If the car continues to move up and down or if it does not return to its original position, this indicates worn or weak shock absorbers.

4. Carry out such a check on each of the three remaining corners of the car.

5. Raise the car and set it to settings.

6. Check up shock-absorbing support on a leak. A thin film of liquid is not taken into account. If you notice a leak, make sure it's definitely from the shock absorbers and not from another source. If a leak is found, replace the entire shock absorber

7. Check up correctness of installation and integrity of shock-absorbers. Check for wear and damage to the upper shock absorber mounts. If a defect is found, replace the entire shock absorber.

8. When replacing shock absorbers, follow the recommendations given in chapter 10.
