Changing tires (Taurus 1 and 2)

1. Tires should be rotated at regular intervals and when abnormal wear is detected. After raising the vehicle and removing the tires, be sure to also check the brakes (section 20).

2. Radial tires should be changed according to a special scheme (see figure).



3. To properly lift your vehicle and change tires, see the information provided at the beginning of this book in the section "Jacking and towing". When checking the brakes, remember that you cannot support the car on just one jack.

4. The car must be lifted with a tipper or jack stands so that all four wheels are off the ground. Once again, make sure that the car is on a secure support.

5. After you have rotated all the wheels, check and, if necessary, adjust the tire pressure and the tightening of the lug nuts.
