Checking the oil level in a manual transmission

            0

Note: The level and quality of the oil in a manual transmission should not decrease during normal vehicle operation. However, we recommend checking it from time to time.

1. The gearbox has an inspection hole and a filler plug, which is removed when checking the oil level. See figure 22.1.

22.1. The filler plug of the manual transmission is located on the side of the housing.
1. The front of the car.
2. Filler plug.

2. Remove the plug from the gearbox and use your little finger to check the fluid level in the gearbox housing. It should be level with the bottom edge of the plug hole.

3. Otherwise, add the desired oil through the plug hole using a syringe or blower.

4. Carefully screw on the plug, check for leaks after a few miles.
