2. If the oil level does not reach the hole, add the required amount of oil using a syringe or plastic tube. Make sure by referring to the section "Lubricants, fluids and volumes" at the beginning of this Chapter that you are using the recommended oil according to the type of gearbox.
3. Reinstall the oil filler and level plug and tighten it to the specified torque. After taking the car for a short drive, inspect the gearbox for leaks.
4. The need for frequent replenishment of the oil level can only be caused by a leak that must be found and corrected immediately.
5. The G and MT75 type transmissions also have a drain plug, so although changing the transmission fluid is not part of the maintenance schedule, it is often useful to drain the oil and replace it with new oil if the vehicle has high mileage, or if the transmission has been repaired or completely disassembled. Unfortunately, this is not possible on the N type gearbox which does not have a drain plug.
6. To drain the oil, place a drain pan under the drain plug located at the bottom or lower part of the crankcase, then unscrew the plug and allow the oil to drain. When finished, reinstall the plug, then fill the transmission with oil as described above.
