Every 16,000 km or 12 months.
1. Manual transmission does not have a dipstick. To check the oil level, lift the car, place it on supports so that it is horizontal.
2. If necessary, remove the lower mudguard from under the engine to provide access to the transmission housing.
3. The fill/level check plug is located on the front side of the transmission at the bottom. Unscrew the plug (see Fig. 11.3. a, b).
4. When the level is correct, the oil should reach the bottom edge of the hole.
5. If oil needs to be added, use a syringe or a plastic bottle with a tube (see Fig. 11.5).
6. Continue to drink oil until it starts to flow out of the hole.
7. Replace the plug and tighten it to the specified torque. Then take a short drive and check for leaks.
8. The need for frequent oil top-ups indicates a leak that needs to be identified and repaired.
