1. With the parking brake applied, jack up the front of the vehicle and support it on supports.

2. Move the protective rubber boot on the end of the cable towards the gearbox.

3. Lubricate the cable and the place where it attaches to the clutch release fork with universal grease (see Figure 23.3)

4. Replace the rubber boot and lower the vehicle to the ground.
