1. Remove the left side of the bottom of the dashboard.

2. Press the clutch pedal back and secure it in this position so that the adjusting pawl is separated from the gear sector (see picture).

3. In addition to the clutch cable, remove the air cleaner assembly. Pull the cable out of the clutch release shaft lever with pliers. When doing this, clamp the end of the cable, not the cable itself (see picture).

4. Pull the cable and housing through the transmission insulator.

5. Loosen the front screw of the clutch pedal shield, unscrew the rear screw, rotate and remove the shield up from the working area. Tighten the front screw to hold it in this position (see figure 5.2).

6. After disconnecting the pawl from the gear sector, turn the sector forward and unhook the cable.

The sector is held by a spring - don't let it "jump" back.

7. Pull the cable out of the clutch pedal assembly and push it through the firewall and into the engine compartment.

Installation

8. Pass the cable through the fire barrier from the side of the engine compartment (see picture).

9. Getting out from under the panel, guide the cable through the insulator to the pedal stop bracket (see figure 5.2). Raise the clutch pedal, release the pawl, turn the gear sector forward. Attach the end of the cable to the gear sector.

10. Put the screen back in place, tighten both screws.

11. Pass a cable through an insulator in the case of a transmission.

12. Ask an assistant to push the clutch pedal back and hold it in this position. Connect the cable to the clutch release lever.

13. Depress the pedal several times to adjust the cable.

14. Install the lower part of the dashboard.

15. Install the air cleaner.
