1. Apply the parking brake, then jack up the front of the vehicle and support it on stands.

2. Lubricate the shift rod bushings with grease, then apply a few drops of engine oil to the shift rod arms and cable.

3. When lubricating the traction, check the condition and reliability of all adjacent parts and cables.

4. Lower the vehicle to the ground when finished.
