Replacing spark plugs

            0

Warning: in these models of vehicles, the electric fan may operate with the ignition off. When working in the fan area, turn off its motor or disconnect the battery negative cable.

1. Spark plugs are located on the front (where is the radiator) side of a four-cylinder engine and on both sides of a six-cylinder engine.

2. When buying, be careful and purchase the type of candles that is suitable for your particular motor. Information on this subject can be found on the Control Information label located under the hood of the machine, as well as in the company's technical manual. If there are any differences between the designation of candles on the manufacturer's label and the data given in the manual, the information on the label should be guided.

3. The engine must be completely cool before removing the spark plugs. Check the new spark plugs for defects and adjust the gaps in them.

4. Disconnect the tip from one of the candles. Apply force only to the tip - do not pull on the wire itself.

5. Install the spark plug wrench on the spark plug and turn it counterclockwise to remove it.

6. Screw the new spark plug into the hole, first by hand, then tighten with a torque wrench or ratchet.

7. Before attaching the tip to the end of the spark plug, refer to the appropriate procedures in section 25.

8. Connect the tip to the new spark plug, screwing it in until it is fully seated.

9. Alternately, so as not to confuse the wires, repeat the procedure with other candles.
