Place the rear of the car on stands and remove the wheel mounting bolts on the desired side. Place a jack under the suspension arm. Remove the plastic cap under the rear storage shelf, unscrew the nut, remove the washer and the shock absorber buffer.
Disconnect the brake hose from the shock absorber housing. Unscrew the nuts of the lower shock absorber mounting bolts, remove the bolts and remove the shock absorber with the washer and compression buffer. Install a new shock absorber, insert the bolts and tighten the nuts of the lower shock absorber mounting. Secure the brake hose to the shock absorber housing.
Install the compression buffer and washer. Working from inside the car, install the cushion and washer, tighten the upper shock absorber mount nut and install the plastic cap. Install the wheel, lower the car and tighten the wheel mounting bolts
